What about it ? I9t seem to have nicely worked in the past and when you're too lazy to dig for resources/or there isn't any anymore, we should be able to buy things.
We could also sell them, and maybe make just near the shp a chest-shared area where we could deposit what is useless to us for the ones who wants it.
These 2 ideas would :
-Make the server better by adding more fun.
-It would be easier for newbies to begin an adventure, and it would be also a way for veteran players to "donate" their useless items to the people who need them.
I find that great, why don't you add something like that Ant ?

Spawnshop was removed because it had no use without Iconomy, I'm pretty sure Ant will say just add a shop or donation pool to your own faction if you want one.

My father just won 20 euros due to a deed he placed in Mitsubishi 25 years ago xD

Last time i tried to trade with elias he told my fac members that id ban them if they didnt give him quartz whereas i gave him 3 stacks for free and never said any of that.
