How can we improve the server?

Although I do not play on HL2DM anymore, I still support Ant and Nick to keep their server online as long as possible.

This thread is mainly created to provide as many suggestions as possible to improve the server and keep a maximum of players online.

Since the newer games released, alot of players have quit the online experience to play alot of the single player games.

Like Ant who is a full addict of BF3, alot of players are on COD or on other games.

Since HL2DM is becoming old and broken (to not say dead) it has become an out dated game and players are more playing CS:GO.

My suggestions here is to keep your servers online, but to start building new servers on newer games, I know Ant, you're not a fan of CS games, but what are you going to do when HL2DM will be completely dead?

You still have my support and all of your 700+ members registered on these forums, but start updating...

I have not left the game because your server sucks, but because of the fact that I need to study, and take care of my future.

I can't spend more time on online games anymore.

Note that I still design my levels when I get free time, but I'm definitely not playing online except CSS for testing purposes.

That's why I recommend you to create an original, amazing, epic or any adjectives you want for a CS:GO server.

Nowadays, I don't know for who I am mapping for.

Actually, I know I'm mapping for Area 51, but for which players?

This Summer, the statistics weren't that great: the server was 1/3 filled whereas the past Summers, the server was full, or at least had 20 players.

Please, post any suggestions here of what you are thinking about it.

Please note I do not criticize Ant and Nick's work because they provided alot to keep the server online, entertain it and keep it original.

This is the kind of topic I was looking for instead of saying it's shit or dead.

Anyways,I have 2 ideas.

1. About afk system.

Maybe we can remove 5 rounds kick system so people can stay as long as they can?
IF you can plug in like you don't get hours/score while you are afk though.
I mean I don't mind sitting in the server if I'm really bored but I don't wanna play alone or go through any of things.
I don't have knowledge about plug in stuff so if it's impossible then don't mind it.

2. Mini game

I think you really should add mini game maps like cs:s!!

i think this was mentioned a while back but i forgot about it. I will update it soon so that AFK players on spec will not accumulate score/gametime.

Nope, all money from donations goes to a separate account to be used just for the servers.
