Reforming our rule and command table.

Hello everyone, those are new or old rules/commands that I think adding back would be very nice.Also, I suggested new manners to deal with rule breakers.There's equally some suggestions about new features (Output, downloads, motds, etc...).

Rules and commands reformation

.Admin disrespect rule :
It is long gone by now, but I still thing it is necessary to hold the server and show some authority to people who insults - And therefore make the atmosphere very bad and shows us as an incompetent team.The only punsihement for this rule would be gag/mute or (if repeated insistently) pgag/pmute.If the user do it by his name, admins will simply have to bind the command to rename him everytime he does it.Consequently, the server will not loose any player.
Therewith, to avoid any kind of problems between admins, the rule will not be applicable with other admins.
The concerned admin will have to take consistent proofs (Video/screenshot) and post a report if he really wants the other admins to cease the insults.
Also, it will show some justice, and from my personal point of view, and admin isn't meant to insult another admin, as he represents the authority and thus must show the exemple.

.!rate command :
It is a whole new idea, but pretty simple and not really necessary.It is just a nice feature that could help the mapper.So I suggest that !rate menu wich would display several numbers, going from 0 to 5.0=Worst map played this evening/5 = Best map played in the week, or something like this.After that, there would be asked to have a reason : There will be, to begin, some basic ones like "lack of light", "repetitive music", "not enough endings", etc...
It would be on the website, marked like the /mapstats.I think it would, for players who aren't registered on the forums, to take a stand on their own and maybe help the mapper to improve his map in the future.
Notice : If no reason is provided for the rating, the vote would not be considered.

.!addgame command :
It would work the same as !addmusic, but with flash games.

.Sprays rule :
The principle of this rule would be, all-in-one and thus more clearly, to not allow explicit pictures and advertising sprays (i.e : bouncyball spray, gay hamster...).

.Donator power restriction :
As you might know, donators sometimes use their powers to avoid a gag (i.e : using colored chat).I find that for them, donators, removing ALL their status is too harsh for players who donated and played for a while there.That's why I suggest to temporarily remove their access to the specific donator feature used for a certain time : For exemple, being unable to use colored chat for one week.And IF the donator does it again, then I am agreeing with a total removal of his status.

.!download command :
Would allow, in a simple menu, to download in background (on the desktop of the user), the user, to download the existing maps; those can be new ones as old ones.
Its biggest advantage would be to be easier to use for non-forum players and to download the brand new map you didn't knew was there, without having to quit and to go to the forums again.Also, all Area 51 & Gravity Riders contents would be available for download.

.Deathrun tutorial :
To teach new players how to play deathrun, there's already one but I made another one, updated with the current features.
Command would be !help or !tutorial.

Well people, basically that's all I can think of for now.
I have put much time to this work (Especially my deathrun tutorial that I will post in a different topic).
I would be very grateful to Ant tp add these features or that tutorial, or at least a reply.
Please, no trolling or critisicm, I've put much time into this, please respect it.
Though, ideas are welcome.

The admin disrespect rule has been removed because we're over the Internet and you're excepted to be insulted and provokated.
It won't be re-added.
!rate command is useless in my opinion, people can use their chat and tell what's wrong.
!addgame can be a good idea.
There's no way donator power will be removed because you paid for it.

I haven't been talking about donator powers being removed.Only being suspended for the ones who abuse of them, and only definitely removed for the ones who does it again after having received a first warning.

!rate command is I good idea I think.It's not of prime necessity, but could be helpful, for when the mapper isn't playing.

I think the admin disrespect rule should be added, if you ask why see my paragraph about it, and if we follow my line, I think all will go fine this time.
Being over the internet isn't an excuse.You can be trolled, of course, and that will and owuld be allowed, but that's not because it's the internet that we can do whatever we want.

For your personal information, I have met several kind people on the internet, very kind ones, and in that community too.
There was a bit of trolling but people were nice, respectful and funny.Now it changed, idk why.

1. Fixed by admins who understand this is the internet and to not take it seriously.

2. Probably not useful enough to be added but is alright idea. Just gotta look for people who vote every map down.

3. Would probably increase the amount of people actually using that cmd. Feels like a good thing to add.

4. Spray rule runs across some grey area with singling porn (no names...) and could be improved in these situations
with a more generalized "Explicit" pictures when they pull the "It's not porn" card.

5. Just have admins deal with them.

A place on the forums to download maps would be nice. Weather they are all bundled together or you do each map seperate
is up to you.

7. Seems useful if they knew it was there... Link it on Motd like you have rules or have it say elsewhere

There's already a place on the forums to dl the maps and the the content, it's on the A51 website.But that feature would be nice for pples who don't know forums.

About that rule for admin disrespect, I can it can be dealt with very fine if we follow my line of thinking.
What caused it to fail last time was admins having problems, so one banned the other and....Ant upon report removed the rule.
But if it only deals with normal players and admins are "judged" in the inside...That would be fun.
Stop talking about the internet, yes it's the internet but that rule isn't really about sensible admins.
It is about players who are getting their playing experience rotten and a bad atmosphere on the server because a noob insults repeatedly an admin.

For the !rate command, actually the vote will not be counted if there is no reason provided with.

For the other things, you're right.Sprays rule should be generalized, and a link to the tutorial should be added in the motd.

Only thing is that donator status temporary removal - If abused it once, only removal for 3 days-1 week.
If abused twice or three, then definitive removal and needs to donate again to havet hem back.

All seems legit and is fine, if people are intelligent and actually understand, note that every rule suggested, before being applied, will be told to the players, like a first warning about new rules existing.

I respect the fact you took time and trying to be up-to-date even while you haven't be able to play on the server.
I think what's important is thinking all these and making an effort in your head.
The server would be great if everyone starts think like you do.
Unfortunately,I agree with Stunt and I don't think any of your ideas are necessary to have a shape but definitely need to keep in our mind.
Another fact is the server is becoming much more nicer each day.
