You can find the rules on the cup page when you click on 'More...', i know it's not really obvious but i guessed you would figure it out.

So you guys play 2 maps, each player picks one. Don't ban any maps unless you have to play a 3rd map as a tie breaker.

Also on the CU topic: They had several rule sets. Earlier it was homemap based, meaning each player picks a map without any banning happening. Later (like 2 years ago) they changed the rules to another system with banning.
All matches that have been played already are set in stone, because both players didnt read the rules correctly and played with their own 'rule set'. Future matches have to be played as the official rules state and I hope all players left understood them now. If not, feel free to ask here.
